More than a simple form of expression, art is a delicate channel of interaction and a vital element for human development. This is how Susano Correia defines his work. Born in Florianópolis, he is beginning to establish himself as one of the leading figures of the new generation of visual artists in the country. He graduated with a teaching degree in Visual Arts from the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC) in 2015, and gained popularity through social media, which gave the artist national visibility and the opportunity to dedicate himself exclusively to his artistic practice.Since then, Susano has developed a contemporary pictorial language with a strong educational concern, using democratic means to present his work to a broad audience. As a result, his exhibitions also attract people who do not usually visit museums. In mid-2019, he moved his studio to São Paulo — the largest city in Latin America and an important cultural hub — in order to expand his horizons and seek new experiences and connections within the art world.
